Best Album 2017: Meet the Mercury Prize Shortlist (BBC 2, 10pm)
Before the winner is announced on Thursday, BBC are showcasing the shortlisted nominees in this documentary. Includes a load of musicians discussing their craft, including Stormzy, Ed Sheeran, Alt-J, The xx, Sampha, Kate Tempest and more.
Mrs Brown’s Boys D’Movie (RTÉ One, 9.30pm)
The big screen version of the popular TV sitcom. Agnes (Brendan O’Carroll) finds her livelihood threatened by a developer and embarks on a campaign to save her stall. She faces car chases, ninjas and outdoor musical numbers.
The Great Gatsby (RTÉ, 11:10pm)
The Oscar-nominated adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel. Through the eyes of stock broker Nick Carraway, you get to see the story of the famous Gatsby’s sumptuous and enigmatic life and how he secretly attempted to woo Daisy Buchanan against the backdrop of the corrupt 1920s in America. It’s on late, but defintely worth recording for later on in the week.
Everybody’s talking about… Nathan the single dad from Tottenham on The X Factor last night.
Absolutely everybody was rooting for Nathan and his adorable daughter, but he got off to an unimpressive start with a cover of Angels by Robbie Williams. He got a yes from Nicole Scherzinger who visibly had her heart set on getting him onto the show.
Sharon Osbourne gave him a yes on the condition that he prepared himself for a very, very difficult road ahead of him but from Louis and Simon it was a firm ‘No’. Simon then decided to give him a second chance to go off and prepare a new song, but it failed to win Simon and Louis over.

Fans are currently tearing chunks out of each other online arguing over whether or not this decision was fair.

Strike – The Silkworm (BBC1, 9pm) An adult crime series based on the novels of J.K. Rowling (no, not Harry Potter), she wrote these under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith).
The Geansaí (RTÉ 2, 9pm) Three-part series looking at different aspects of GAA. Tonight they explore the contribution of women to all aspects of Gaelic Games, on and off the field.
Video Killed the Radio Star (Sky Arts, 7.30pm) Series examining the work of renowned video directors, focusing tonight on the music videos of David Bowie.
Blades of Glory (Comedy Central 7.10pm) Comedy about two polar-opposite rival Olympic ice skaters.
Amazing Spaces Shed of the Year (Channel 4, 7pm) A look at the best sheds in the UK, focusing on the historic category tonight. Probably inspiration for Dublin landlords.
